Pacific Science Center's Puget Sound Hydrological Model
shows the tidal flow through one of North America's largest
inland tidal waterways.
An analog computer controls a plunger in the model that
raises and lowers the tide level. The effects of the Sun, Moon
and major planetary gravitational influences are factored in
show predict the tide.
Fresh water flows from the major river systems and the
effects of the topology of the Puget Sound tidal basin are also
shown in the Puget Sound Model
